The selected image and decoded contents remain on your device. Analysis runs locally without an upload, account, external API, analytics event or saved history.

Test QR code scannability before you print

Use the checker as a QR tester before committing important artwork to print. It attempts a real local decode and reports observations the browser can actually measure, including contrast, quiet-zone space, density and image resolution.

After a successful decode you can add the intended printed width and normal scanning distance. The preflight compares that plan with the decoded QR density using the same conservative physical sizing model as the Size Calculator, without turning the result into a score or guarantee.

That is more useful than an unexplained scannability score. A browser cannot guarantee how every physical print, camera, surface, viewing angle or lighting condition will behave.

For important jobs, test the final exported artwork and then scan a physical proof with more than one real device.

This is not a virus scanner

QR code checker can also mean checking whether a destination is malicious. That is not what this tool claims to do.

The Checker evaluates the QR image and decoded payload. It does not provide malware detection or an external URL-reputation score. If you want to inspect a QR without immediately visiting its destination, use the Scanner, which shows decoded content before navigation.

Automated image analysis cannot reproduce every print process, camera, material or lighting condition.

Treat each check independently

A successful decode, strong contrast or clear border is useful evidence, but one result does not cancel a warning elsewhere.

Test the final physical result

Print size, surface, damage, glare, lighting and camera software are outside an uploaded-image check.

Keep four clear modules

Leave an empty border around every side of the QR symbol. Nearby text or artwork can interfere with detection.
